Admission to the degree program is limited-entry (300 places available).
To be admitted, applicants must hold a secondary school diploma or another qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable, through which they have acquired basic linguistic, historical, technical, artistic, and mathematical knowledge, as well as knowledge of at least one foreign language.
Students are admitted to the first year of the degree program in limited numbers on the basis of a national admission test, held simultaneously at major Italian universities.
The test is designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and aptitude in relation to the core subjects of the degree program across four disciplinary areas: drawing and representation, mathematics and physics, logic, and history.
The nature and procedures of the test are defined by national regulations and are aimed at producing a ranking of applicants based on their knowledge and aptitude for the studies they intend to pursue.
After successfully passing the admission test, prospective students may begin the enrollment procedure.
In cases where students transfer from other universities or degree programs, the Transfers and Program Changes Committee is responsible for evaluating their academic record and for considering the ECTS credits (CFU) earned through previously passed examinations.
As provided for in the Call for Applications for admission to the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree in Architecture and the Degree in Architectural Sciences, if a student obtains a score lower than the threshold indicated in the call for applications in the mathematics section, additional educational requirements (OFA) will be assigned. These requirements may be fulfilled by passing the OFA tests.
Failure to fulfill the additional educational requirements will prevent the student from sitting the oral examination of the course Institutions of Mathematics.
