Final Examination Orientation Workshops / Final Comprehensive Workshops

The Final Comprehensive Workshops (8 ECTS) apply to students enrolled from the academic year 1994 to 2007.

The Orientation Workshops for the Final Examination (6 ECTS) apply to students enrolled in 2008, 2009, and 2010.

Both the Orientation Workshops and the Final Comprehensive Workshops are preparatory to the thesis and must therefore be taken only after all exams have been completed.

Students enrolled from the academic year 2011/2012 onward no longer have the Orientation Workshop in their study plan, as the Degree Programme Regulations were amended and this Workshop is no longer required.

The academic year 2014/2015 was the last year in which the Orientation Workshops were offered.
Starting from 2015/2016, they are no longer available because the 2010 cohort had already reached the fifth year.

STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE ORIENTATION WORKSHOP FOR THE FINAL EXAMINATION OR THE FINAL COMPREHENSIVE WORKSHOP

To support students who did not complete the Orientation Workshop or the Final Comprehensive Workshop by the A.Y. 2014/2015 (note: students who attended the workshop in 2014/15 or earlier may take the exam with the same instructor), the Teaching Committee of the Single-Cycle Master’s Degree in Architecture, during the meeting of 07/10/2014, decided the following:

Students must contact directly the instructor who will supervise their thesis.
The thesis advisor is authorized to recognize the workshop credits by certifying that part of the thesis preparatory work should be considered equivalent to the workshop.

Two possible cases:

1. The instructor of the chosen Orientation or Comprehensive Workshop is also the thesis advisor:

In this case, the advisor may record the exam through the online digital signature system, and the exam will automatically appear in the student’s transcript.

2. The advisor has never taught an Orientation or Comprehensive Workshop, OR has taught a different workshop from the one in the student’s study plan:

The advisor must record the exam using a specific paper form:
Form A – Workshop Registration”.

This case may require a study plan modification:

Orientation Workshop

  • If the student’s study plan includes a specific Orientation Workshop code, the student must complete “Form B – Orientation Workshop Modification” (no revenue stamp required), requesting to replace the specific workshop with the generic code B007346.

HOW TO ENTER THE ORIENTATION WORKSHOP IN THE ONLINE STUDY PLAN

In the online study plan, the generic code B007346 is already included and cannot be modified through the online study plan system.
To replace it with a specific Orientation Workshop, you must write the code and the title of the specific workshop in the Notes section at the bottom of the online study plan page.
The code and title are listed in the attached document.

Important: If you have already submitted a modification for the Orientation Workshop by entering a specific code, when submitting a new online study plan you must again write in the Notes section the code and title of the chosen Orientation Workshop, because submitting a new online plan resets previous selections.

The Student Office will then update the study plan with the chosen Workshop.

STUDY PLAN MODIFICATION

Students who have completed the Orientation Workshop with a specific code and graduate before July must submit the modification using the form indicated below.
Students graduating from the July session onward must complete the online study plan.

If a student submits a new online study plan after requesting a modification, they must again indicate, in the Notes field, the code and title of the chosen Orientation Workshop, as the submission resets previous selections.
